The procurement department is a fast paced environment and requires a high level of organizational skills, efficient use of time and the ability to perform under pressure while managing multiple RFP projects to meet critical deadlines. Our Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for strategic sourcing across the IT vertical and focus on INFOSEC to support key initiatives to improve our security infrastructure. They will lead the RFP process and must have keen analysis skills with strong sourcing expertise to manage complex negotiations. The procurement team is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, data & analytics, outsourcing, commercial review, and contract management across Workiva. We are currently in search of a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing RFx activities with a high focus on Security Operations and IT Software commodities. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will interface and foster a collaborative environment with cross functional teams worldwide. This role requires exceptional verbal and written communication, strong organizational, and time management skills. What You'll Do Lead and execute long term agreements through formal RFx methodologies. Analyze spend data and industry dynamics to identify, prioritize, and launch sourcing initiatives Establish positive relationships across the business units to ensure active and early participation in supplier related matters Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand requirements and current gaps and challenges to develop best strategic sourcing strategies Lead supplier contract renewals and leverage competitive pricing, quality and customer service Develop strategic relationships with existing or new key suppliers and ensure appropriate engagement levels exist to drive partnership objectives Identify process improvements to increase efficiencies and maximize spend opportunity. Improve and maximize Workiva's financial position through the price, payment terms, and other terms & conditions negotiations Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on business initiatives and procurement strategies Coaches and mentors other members of the procurement team on procurement and sourcing best practices What You'll Need Education Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Law, Information Technology or a related program or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field Skills Expert in negotiation skills in both financial and business matters, including commercial terms and risk mitigation for strategic contracts Experience managing and negotiating large, enterprise-wide contracts Must have a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment Exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Creative problem solver and ability to build relationships across teams and with vendors Experience Minimum of 5 years of Strategic Sourcing experience focused on IT projects for software and services Experienced with the execution of the RFx development from bid to contract execution Demonstrate success with managing a project/program to completion Experience with contract lifecycle management system Experience using an eProcurement platform, procure-to-pay process Experience with international procurement is a plus Proven success in sourcing, negotiating, and delivery of contracts, with an emphasis in enterprise software related purchases Experience with software contract rationalization supporting acquisitions
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & Logistics, Procurement, IT SecurityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
